Our Story
Hey everyone, my name is connor eisenhart and i am the owner of the homedog llc! I graduated from high school in 2020, and then went to get my real estate license for the state of pennsylvania. I soon realized there wasn’t much money to be made at the time for a new agent, and decided to change plans.
for all of my life I have had a passion for food and working in the food industry. From watching the food network channel with my dad at a young age, or learning how to use chopsticks with my mom, i grew up having a fascination with food. Loving food even runs in the family! My family owned and operated the old hanover diner in the 1980’s right here in hanover, Pennsylvania. Check out that old sign!
in 2023 My initial idea was to start a pasta truck but i didn’t have enough money saved. I then thought back to the local hot dog guy, slinging dogs at lowe’s, and knew i struck gold! That same week, I borrowed my dad’s truck and went to buy our first, new york style, hot dog cart from New jersey. within a month the homedog llc was up and running!
My girlfriend, juli, became a huge part in helping the business grow. Soon, she was able to quit her job and start working full time for the homedog llc. and before i knew it she was by my side every day! from cutting onions, to helping book events, we have grown together like wildfire and are already looking into future growth.
our old new york style cart only lasted about a year and a half until it was time to upgrade to something bigger. in December of 2024 we opened our new custom cart made to suit all of our needs and make serving easier. Now, thanks to all of our amazing customers, we are already outgrowing our new one!
Whether you’re a local from hanover or traveling to visit from out of state (or country!), i will provide everyone with the same great hot dog experience! just be on the lookout, you never know when a frog will get ya🐸
Why Hanover?
I was born and raised here in hanover, pennsylvania, which is the main reason why it is the “home of the homedog”. Hanover has also always been a hot dog driven town. when i first started, i completely took the town by storm!
